A review of Twenty-Sixteen – a selection of the moments that defined the best creative weddings of 2016.
2016…wow! I don’t know where to begin. For me this year has been a rollercoaster. I made the decision at the beginning of the year to limit the number of weddings I took on. I wanted to focus on each couple. That was my priority. But also, to give me a chance to find myself and discover what makes me tick as a photographer. It turns out feelings and emotions were the answer. Here are the moments that for me, defined the best creative weddings of 2016.
Twenty Sixteen brought laid-back festival weddings brimming with family and friends, and alternative weddings with the most amazing details. My work featured on several blogs, which was a complete honour! Weddings featured on Boho Weddings, Love My Dress, Whimsical Wonderland Weddings and Rock N Roll Bride. Every time I’m bowled over for my couples who have invested time planning their day. It’s also fantastic to see my past couples helping to inspire future brides and grooms.
I’ve struggled to my 2016 favourites. Each wedding I’ve had the honour to capture has been beyond amazing. A wedding story needs more than one image, more than one hundred. It’s a collection that tells the story. From morning prep, through to the evening party, every little moment contributes to a wedding story. So true to style, this post contains a few of my favourite images from each part of the day.
Thank you so much to the brides, grooms, families and friends who made this year amazing!
