An autumnal Ty Mawr wedding with lashings of rich jewelled tone details, pumpkins, dahlias and zombie Halloween cake toppers
I have a confession…summer isn’t my favourite season. It’s ok, but autumn?! Oh my! I love autumn and Tara and Rob’s alternative Ty Mawr wedding in Lisvane was an autumn lovers paradise with a Halloween twist.
Did you spot Tara & Rob’s powder paint beach engagement session? If you did you will know they like to put their own stamp on things. From the first time Tara emailed me, she made no secret of her love of Halloween and her plans to bring it into their wedding day. She made homemade toffee apples, (I loved the Instagram updates on how the test batches were going!), while Rob’s dad, a keen gardener, nurtured masses of brightly colour dahlias. They were arranged in scooped out pumpkins to adorn the aisle and tables. The cake toppers were out of this world! Zombie incarnations of Tara and Rob…Rob wasn’t allowed to see them before the wedding as ‘zombie’ Tara’s dress was a picture-perfect match for her Phase Eight sequinned gown.
After some sunset portraits, they lit sparklers before heading indoors for their first dance to the Foo Fighters ‘Overlong’. Every little detail about their wedding day was en pointe…if you are thinking of bringing a touch of autumn or Halloween into your wedding day then their wedding is definitely one to aspire to!
“[Elaine] was brilliant!!.. she made us feel so comfortable and understood exactly what we wanted, our photos were absolutely stunning and memories we can cherish forever”
