I have been excited to share a preview of Bethan & Drew’s relaxed & intimate Cardiff Registry Office wedding photography since the moment I left them. I feel like lately I’ve spent alot of time exploring woodland and hillsides. So being back in the city was so refreshing and I loved every minute.
Bethan & Drew’s Cardiff wedding took place on one of the hottest days of the year so far at one of my favourite South Wales Wedding venues for small and intimate weddings. It’s safe to say It was the polar opposite from their Brecon Beacons couple shoot back in January. Afterwards, they celebrated with friends and family at the Park Plaza, a stone throw away from the Registry Office.
We started the day at Bethan & Drew’s home in the Birchgrove area of Cardiff. I was a refreshing change to be literally two minutes around the corner from prep! Prep was super chilled, with just Bethan, and her mum and dad. We chatted about how when Bethan & Drew first met on a night out in Cardiff. Bethan thought Drew was called John, but fell in love instantly with his beard!
After their small, intimate ceremony in the Syndicate Room we headed to the Gardens behind to throw the confetti Bethan dried herself from bouquets gifted to her on her birthday.
DIY flower-petal confetti and sunglasses and hipflasks on the roof of the nearby multi-storey car park. I love couples who like to do things a little different! You’ll find details of the suppliers at the end of the photography.
If you are looking for a South Wales photographer to capture wedding I’d love to hear from you. While your hear why not have a look through recent wedding stories.
