A colourful and modern wedding at the Royal College of Music & Drama in Cardiff with vintage dress and homemade craft details
I’m excited to share Jo and Rob’s vibrant and modern Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama wedding. Jo and Rob added lots of vibrant creative DIY detail. Jo looked amazing in a vintage Ossie Clark wedding dress, which was once worn my her mum. She channelled a ‘silver screen’ goddess! Her hand-tied florals from ‘Flowers, I do’ complement the look.
Rob’s an actor, so RWCMD seemed like a very fitting venue for their wedding celebrations. I adore the building and can say it’s one of my favourite pieces of modern architecture in Cardiff. The atrium is light and airy with views into Bute Park. Most of all, it’s perfect city venue and blank canvas where you can be as alternative or creative as you want!
Jo & Rob chose to exchange vows in the theatre room. A large modern, auditorium with wood panelling. Rob’s friends and fellow band mates, The Buzztones performed Acappella. Â
They opted for a fresh and bright orange and blue colour theme. Jo handmade lots of decor details, from origami to covered books for table centres. As a little last minute detail, Jo picked up some confetti the evening before. Because the terrace the RWCMD is narrow, it’s the most confined confetti shot I’ve taken. But with some creative planning and help from Mike the MC, Jo & Rob nailed it! The best bit is, it’s my favourite confetti shot ever.
