Bride and Groom standing next to vintage fiat 500 at their Wootton Farm Estate Wedding

From the first time I spoke with Sascha, I was super excited for her and Tom’s wedding at Wootton Farm Estate near Lewes. I could tell straight off that there would be tons of unique and beautiful touches, but I wasn’t prepared for just how many there would be. Sascha let slip a few weeks beforehand that her dress was designed and made by a good friend and oh my god, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dress so beautiful. Made from crushed tafetta with unfinished edges and lined in calico it was out of this world and perfect for Sascha.

Wootton Farm Estate is such a special venue. Located around 10 miles north of Brighton, It pairs guest accommodation with the option of camping/glamping on the farm ground. On the opposite side of the lake from the guest house there is space for a tipi for the evening reception. Perfect for an outdoor, summer wedding.

Sascha got ready in the guest house with her bridesmaids. The morning was super relaxed and friend-focused which was so nice. Sascha asked her maids to each choose their own dress in a shade of blue. It was such a lovely and thoughtful touch, they all looked amazing!

Sascha and Tom wed at old Hamsey Church, or St. Peter’s as it’s sometimes called. Sasha and Tom had spoken so fondly of it and it was so easy to see why. A little rustic with white washed walls, all the heart eyes right here. The light in churches can sometimes be quite unflattering because of the combination of artifical lighting and natural light, so when I heard it had no lights I was literally jumping up and down with excitement. Sascha loves vintage Fiat 500’s so there was no other option for her wedding car! It could only ever be a vintage, cream fiat 500. With the car adorned with matching balloons, she travelled the short journey to the church from Wootton Farm with her sister.  It was quite the feat given how windy it was! There were a fair few times Sascha nearly lost her veil! Their ceremony was intimate and heartfelt with readings from friends.

The rest of the day was just perfect and filled with laughter. One of my favourite moments was when Sascha’s hen’s decided they wouldn’t be left out from the speeches, and invaded the stage. “HEN HEN HEN HEN!!”

Sascha and Tom, you are the sweetest couple ever. Thank you so much for having me!
