A Cardiff engagement session making the most of both urban graffiti on Womanby Street and the lush surroundings at Bute Park.
I’m a city girl at heart so when Joanna and Lloyd suggested meeting by the Castle for their pre-wedding Cardiff Engagement session you can imagine how happy I was.
For anyone who isn’t familiar with Cardiff, it offers a striking mix of green and urban spaces. Bute Park lies on the edge of the city, right next to Cardiff Castle. It’s the start of a green corridor that extends north until it bleeds into the countryside. It weaves through the settlements on the cities edge following the River Taff. Cathays, Llandaf, Poncanna, and Radyr.
Of course, the fact it lies on the edge of the city meant we could explore Womanby Street first! Womanby Street is a diverse little street filled with the best of Cardiff’s nightlife. Of course, shooting in the alleys on a Sunday morning wasn’t the best thing. There was a certain stench of the morning after! But it was worth it for the graffiti backdrop. After a few portraits in the cities edge, we headed into the park. Here’s what we got up to.
